10 Things Making Me Happy

1. My cozy, messy bed and a good book. Best way to relax during the weekend.
2. Lunch dates with my family. We've found this little hole-in-the-wall Mexican place and they have the most amazing, authentic Mexican cuisine. We went one day when Mexico was playing during the World Cup and the whole place would go crazy every time a goal was scored. It was a blast. ^_^
3. July has been the most fantastic month - definitely my favorite of the year so far. I don't know if it's because it's summer, or the traveling, or maybe it's just because I'm in a really good place in my life right now. Whatever it is, I'm so happy. I wish I could have a Groundhog Day experience and live this month over again and again.
4. My new planner from Ban.do! I am so in love with it. I can't get over how cute it is, and it's the perfect size for my bag so I can take it everywhere with me. I'm going to be using it for my editorial calendar for my blog and youtube, as well as using it for my daily to-do lists. The inside is so cute! Would you guys be interested in a more in-depth post/review? Let me know, I'm dying to share it!
5. Roxie's sweet little face. She's my snuggle buddy. When she's sleepy, she'll climb onto my lap and curl up into a little ball. Totally melts my heart.
6. Getting a lot of blog work done lately. I've been on a roll, full of inspiration and post ideas. I'm nearly done with the Blog Life e-course and it's completely changing everything I thought I knew about blogging. If you've been thinking about taking it, I highly suggest it.
7. Black & white everything. I'm obsessed. This is a combo I used to despise, and now I can't get enough of it.
8. Last year, I started crocheting and creating new patterns again (really it was mostly therapeutic when everything in my life went to hell). I'd been holding on to all of the pieces I'd made, but they've started to take up too much space so I've decided to sell them off soon on my Instagram. They're all mostly one-of-a-kind pieces, and these will be the last things I crochet for a LONG time, so they're pretty special. I'll be happy to send them to new homes where they'll be appreciated, and to finally put that little chunk of my life to rest.
9. I've been so happy lately, and not just "content" but like bursting-at-the-seams happy. This whole year has had a fresh, new feel to it. I don't feel weighed down by trying to fit into a certain mold or be like everyone else. I can be me, and "me" has no limits.
10. Organizing and redecorating my bedroom. I'm trying to keep things light and airy while adding fun pops of color and making sure everything has a place. I'm having fun trying new arrangements - some for practicality, and some just to be silly.

I'd love to hear what's been making you happy lately. Even if it's something little, feel free to share! xoxo Mandy

MAC x Marge: The Simpsons Collection

If you're any sort of makeup fan, then you've most likely heard of MAC Cosmetics. I've heard so many awesome things about this brand, but sadly have yet to try it...mostly because I have no clue what to try first. An eye shadow? A lipstick? (I don't know, any of you MAC fanatics out there, feel free to help a girl out.) One thing I know I already love about this brand is that they create some of the coolest collections I've ever seen (like the Sharon and Kelly Osbourne collections out right now).

July's Sponsor Party!

1. Izzie wrote a review about two dark circle erasers/brighteners, and boy am I glad she did. I had been thinking about trying First Aid Beauty's Eye Duty Triple Remedy, and now I'm definitely going to thanks to her review.

2. Coco shared the prettiest caramel + pink makeup look on her blog, The Beauty Milk. It's a beautiful look for summer and I can't wait to try it (she used the Revlon Matte Balm in Elusive, one of my favorites!).

3. This PB&J Parfait recipe Courtney shared is quick, easy, and sounds super delicious!

4. I loved getting to see all of the pretty things in Stef's and Erin's bags. These girls have such cute style. ♥

5. Janee started a 4 week healthy eating challenge and I think I'm going to join in. All you have to do is not eat any processed sugar for 4 weeks and you can have one treat day per week. I've been wanting to get unnatural sugars out of my system for awhile, so this is the perfect challenge to motivate me.

6. I'm loving Marilyn's guide to New York City. It's on my bucket list to visit NYC someday, so this post is totally being bookmarked.

I have a lovely group of sponsors this month, and it would mean the world to me if you'd check out their links and send them some love. My sponsors allow me the opportunity to turn my blog into my job someday. I owe it all to them, so let's give them as much support as possible! :) xo, Mandy

*Sponsor Party is a monthly feature of my favorite items + posts from my Medium Sponsors for the month. Tokyo In Tulsa 2014

Last weekend, I traveled down to Oklahoma with my mom, sister, and a few of my sister's friends for Tokyo In Tulsa (aka TNT), a huge midwest Con and the first one I've ever been to. I took a bunch of pictures of filmed a bit of my trip, so I thought I'd share them with y'all today! ^_^

How To Create A Skincare Routine

I think all ladies, beauty enthusiasts especially, can agree that a proper skincare routine is vital to healthy, glowing skin. When I first became obsessed interested in makeup and beauty, I was kind of lost in terms of skincare. There are just so many products out there for different skin concerns and it can get a bit confusing...did I have oily skin or dry skin? Redness problems? Should I start thinking about anti-aging? What is a serum and do I need one? It took me doing a lot of research online and watching quite a few skincare videos on Youtube to figure out what I should invest in and in what steps each item should be used.

I feel pretty confident in my knowledge of skincare, as well as being well-versed in the different skin types and products that will benefit each. So, guess what we're doing today? We're going to create a skincare routine designed specifically for your skin. Excited? Let's do this!

Things I've Learned In My 20s (so far)

I'm only halfway through my twenties, but here are some things I've learned so far...

20 Beauty Questions Tag!

Hello darlings, and a very happy Monday to each of you! In today's video, I'm answering the 20 Beauty Questions tag! I filmed this while on vacation in Oklahoma, so I wanted to do a video that didn't require all of my makeup or beauty products since I only had a few things with me, and figured a tag video would be perfect. I was in Tulsa for Tokyo In Tulsa, which was my first ever Con and I had the best time ever!!! But more on that later this week. ;) For now, enjoy this video and feel free to make a video or blog post of your own (all questions are in the description box for the video).

Review // Mary Kay Peach Satin Hands Set

I first learned about the Satin Hands Pampering Set when my mom was a Mary Kay consultant (way back in my middle school days). At the time, I was more interested in video games and Sailor Moon than beauty products, but even I knew that these were phenomenal products. I couldn't believe how soft my hands were after just one use - "Satin Hands" could not be more accurate.
