Books I Love: Fantastic Plastic Cameras

A few weeks ago, Chronicle Books contacted me to see if I wanted to review one of their books. I was excited because I had been wanting to read Fantastic Plastic Cameras for a long time and saw it on their site. As most of you know, I'm a big fan of toy cameras and film photography. There's just something so nostalgic and magical about the way the pictures turn out. I have a small collection of cameras and plan on adding more soon, so this book was ideal for figuring out what my next "camera obsession" would be.
Probably my favorite thing about this book is that there are so many examples of photos from each camera. Not only is that helpful, but it is so inspiring! There are a bunch of new shots I want to experiment with now.
I've decided that the Golden Half camera is the next one on my list to try. I know I've been saying for awhile that I'm planning on getting some new cameras, but finances have prevented me from buying anything yet. I'm hoping to have some money saved up soon though, and can't wait to try this camera out. I love that it puts two pictures in one photo!
I'm curious to know what you favorite toy camera is? And if you don't have a favorite, is there one you're interested in trying? I love seeing how toy camera photos turn out, so if you blog about your's please leave me a link! xo, mandy
